Lumiere Metallic Paints
 These gorgeous metallic paints spread smoothly and stay flexible. A perfect choice for fabric and leather, but are also stunning on surfaces like paper, photos, wood, shrink plastic and even styrofoam. Washable and dry cleanable. This line contains traditional metallic colours as well as pearlescent, halo and hi-lite colours. The hi-lites are practically transparent on light colours and show beautifully on dark ones. There are eight new Lumiere colours titled the "Wine Country Palette"....autumn colours in rich sophisticated tones.  Neopaque has a similar consistency as Lumiere. Neopaque paints are designed to cover dark grounds with a light application and they are not metallic. You can use these colours to mix into and "antique" Lumiere. When used on a light or white fabric the colours produce a subtle "designer palette" alternative to a more intense colour scheme. Neopaque 579 Extender is also a suitable medium for Pearl-Ex pigments. Both Neopaque and Lumiere can be painted, screened, stenciled or stamped.

 Jazz Liquid Tempera is a premium tempera with a heavy pigment load and rich vibrant colours. Dries to a velvet matte finish. It has a thick semi-paste consistency and can be thinned to become a free-flowing paint. Ideal for use with Kato Polyclay particularly to produce a striking crackle effect. The basic tempera crackle technique is included in the instruction booklet for Kato Liquid Polyclay and variations are shown in Tony Aquino's articles in the Fall 2003 and Winter 2003 issues of PolymerCAFE. For further inspiration, see Helen Breil's articles in the Sept/Oct 2004 issue of Step-by-Step Beads. Of course Jazz Liquid Tempera is also great for traditional tempera uses such as window painting.
Jazz Liquid Tempera is non-toxic and cleans up easily with water. To maintain permanence and colour brightness on polymer clay, apply a protective top coat such as Kato Liquid Clear Medium.
