Description
The blades, like the rollers, are basic accessories for anyone who wants to get started with polymer clay.
Cernit stainless steel blades are very thin and sharp. They will allow you to precisely cut your Cernit polymer clay. This tool is essential for obtaining neat parts and for detailing canes properly.
Their use is quick and easy because they are very sharp. For the same reason, they should be used with care and / or under the supervision of an adult for the youngest.
Depending on the technique, you will prefer to use rigid or flexible blades.
To cut a cane into slices, a rigid blade will be used. On the other hand, to cut the excess dough that protrudes from a silicone mold or a texture plate for the Sutton Slice technique, we prefer a flexible blade which will allow the angle of the blade to be adjusted and thus not to damage the mold. The blades are also suitable for other techniques such as Millefiori, Kaleidoscope, Mokume gane, etc. The wavy blade is used for various techniques, to create effects of lace or croquet ribbon.
There are several sets of blades available:
CE903: 3 blades: one flexible, rigid and one corrugated
All of our sets provide protective rubber for the comfort of the user and above all to prevent small cuts.
Why buy Cernit blades?
The blades are very sharp and allow a clean cut job
There are rigid, flexible or wavy blades
This tool is a basic equipment to start polymer clay
