Here is why you should add some to your projects:
It’s Easy!
Don’t be intimated. Metallic foils and flakes are easy to use and there are no hard rules to follow.
You can apply it directly on top of unbaked clay as a final touch, or even run your sheet of clay through your pasta machine after applying the foil to get a gorgeous crackled effect.
If you are using it on a different surface, all you need is some white glue (or similar.) Apply your foil while it’s still a bit tacky, and it will adhere, no problem.
Always seal it with a glaze (or resin) to protect it from wear and you’ll never have to worry about your work tarnishing or losing that sparkle.
It’s a great effect!
FYI Did you know that there is edible gold foil!
Yes, that’s right. If you are an avid baker and want to add some sparkle to your fondant or buttercream, then edible gold foil is what you need.
(We DON’T carry the edible kind)
Metallic foils or flakes are a delightful embellishment that you should always have to add a little bit of sparkle and joy.

The monstera texture on the front was rubbed with Pearl Ex mica powder, the stud, the small accent and back of the earring are covered with foil.
You can find Monstera Love here. Find our Metallic Foils and Flakes here.
I made the disks below using foils and the Flora texture stamp. I’m planning to use them as the stud for dangly earrings.
Perhaps copper foil on pink clay wasn’t the best choice 🙂
