Cherishing Nature’s Treasures: A Tribute to Fallen Feathers
Hello,
Today, my son stumbled upon a handful of exquisite feathers, discovered alongside a fallen bird. While I’m not sure if the bird is a partridge or a grouse?, its beauty is undeniable, a testament to nature’s grace and fragility. When he shared the image with me, he also mentioned his intention to share some of the feathers, (aren’t I lucky?) a gesture that warms my heart.
Whether handling feathers, seashells, or rocks, we’re reminded of our role as stewards of nature’s beauty.
Whether I choose to adorn my studio with this gift, inspiring future creations, or incorporate them into a cherished jewelry piece, their journey will be honored.
May these feathers serve as a gentle reminder of our interconnectedness with the natural world and cherish and honor every gift nature gives us.
As you well know, us Creatives often find ourselves drawn to collecting bits and pieces of nature’s bounty (like magpies to sparkle). But let’s be real – our friends and family might not share our enthusiasm.
It warms my heart to know that my son and I share this love of collecting (even if we live several provinces apart.)
What treasures do you hold dear in your collection?
You can see a very small part of my collection. Below that are my new feathers 🙂
Thanks for allowing me to share this moment with you. It means the world to me.
