We try our best to ship all orders within 48hrs of being received.
In the event that our postal service provider is closed for a holiday, orders will be shipped on our following scheduled day. Curbside pick-up is available.
Shipping Update: New Courier Options to Save You Money!
At Shades of Clay, we know that shipping costs can add up, and we’re always looking for ways to help you save. That’s why we’ve added new courier options, and you’ll now see live rates at checkout, allowing you to choose the best option for your location.
When we print your shipping label, we may be presented with a different courier so it’s important to use the note section at checkout to let us know if there are specific couriers you’d like to avoid. You know best which services work well in your area, especially if you live in a remote region.
PO Box Customers: Please ONLY select Canada Post at checkout, as couriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes. You may want to consider using an alternate address, like your workplace, to take advantage of the new courier options. Also note that the couriers want us to let them know if they are delivering to a residential address (your home) or a business address so please let us know if we are shipping to a brick and mortar business.
For our US and international customers, please be aware that additional fees, such as duties, taxes, or customs fees, may apply when your order crosses the border. These fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our shipping charges.

Polymer clay is heavy to ship and for that reason it doesn’t work to offer free shipping for a higher value order.
Our flat rates for Canadian customers remained the same for several years and we have gladly subsidized the ship cost, unfortunately with the current world situation and the cost of fuel we are no longer able to offer this.

Each shipment includes up to $100 insurance.
Refunds for lost packages are issued solely at the discretion of Canada Post/other couriers
We will do everything in our power to help.
