MDF Coaster Blanks
We have a hard time keeping these babies in stock. You can find the coasters here.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to get the MDF coasters but I have found a perfect replacement and they even come in circles!
Find them here.
The wood base lends itself perfectly to so many different mediums.
Use alcohol ink, paint, polymer clay, Gilders Paste, even coloured pencils.
Stencil, stamp, silk screen and embellish however you like. Use the Krylon leafing markers or the Posca brand to finish off the edges. Our markers can be found here.
Pour a thin layer of resin on top to seal them if they’ll be used as coasters or use them as wall or shelf art or large fridge magnets.
How about doing a transfer of your favourite photos or the kids drawings onto polymer clay and then mounting them on the coasters for a fantastic Father’s Day gift!
If you have the latest copy of The Polymer Studio (issue #2, pg 16), you’ll find a great tutorial by Cynthia Tinapple showing how to create a transferred image onto clay use a laser printer.
We’ll have some wooden hexagon shaped coasters soon and hopefully some glass ones too!
