The original Shades of Clay website went live in 2002. In 2013 the site changed hands, and in late June of 2015 in an attempt to breathe new life into it, we launched the new Shades of Clay website. There are larger, clearer images, more videos and galleries so you can share your work us and the world, and of course, this blog feature has been integrated as well.
Over the last 6 months since the new website was launched we have had so much positive feedback and we are grateful that you took the time to email us.
Most of you find it easy to navigate, but we have also heard from a few that are finding it more difficult to use than the old static site.
We know just how frustrating it can be to find your way around online so we thought we could sum it up for you in a few words and perhaps make navigation easier for you.
There are 3 ways to find your way around Shades of Clay;
1. From the home page, just above the banner image you will see the word “SHOP” if you hover over it, a drop down menu appears that lists the categories and sub categories. Click on the one you wish to go to.
2. There is also the menu at the left side that lists the MAIN categories and each MAIN category has a drop down menu with all of its subcategories. (Click on the + sign to the right.)
3. Finally, from the home page, if you scroll down just a bit below the “Welcome” message, you can see large squares with images of all of the MAIN categories. This is probably the easiest of all ways for us visual people. Just click on the image for the category (or the title of the category below the image) to take you to the MAIN category. There, you will find images of the subcategories.
I hope this helps. See the screen shots below.
Our hope is to help you on your creative journey. Thanks for letting us come along on the ride.
If you need further help or if you have any suggestions as to how we can make the site more user friendly, please feel free to email us with your suggestions.
Wishing you all the best!
